Little Miss Heavy Metal

So today I’m going to show you how to do a metallic eye using CrushCosmetics. Personally I love a metallic eye at New Year’s because it really makes your eyes pop. The tools you need for this project is your favorite eyeshadow brush, black eyeliner and volumizing mascara.

Colors: bite me, funeral party & snowflake
Tools: the tools you need for this project is your favorite eyeshadow brush, black liner and mascara.

1.       Prep your lid: To even out skin tone and prevent creasing, spread a very small amount of foundation on the lid. Let set for a few seconds then set with translucent powder.
2.       Eyeshadow: Using a flat brush work color from lash line crease. In this case our base color is Bite Me from the CrushCosmetics line on www.etsy.com.
3.       Crease shadow: Using the same brush take a small amount of funeral party and work into crease. This color is concentrated so little goes a long way.
4.       Liner: Trace around your eyes with the black liner, to keep from looking to severe make your line fine.
5.       Highlighter: To help brighten up the inner corner of your eyes use a Pearl white shadow like snowflake and apply to the inner corners and just under your brow.
6.       Mascara: Then apply volumizing mascara.

Hello Sugar

So today I wanted to share with you my favorite CrushCosmetic product the Sugar Body Buff. I have to say this product is insane and in the winter it is key to keep your skin soft and moisturized.  This sugar scrub is 100% vegan and is made from brown sugar, Mango butter, Shea butter and jojoba oil. Also it smells good enough to eat.

Mango Butter: Is a premium skin care butter. It has emollient properties and is rich in antioxidants.  Also it had healing and regenerative abilities.

Shea Butter: Is my favorite out all the butters. It’s full of rich essential oils that moisturizes and promotes cell renewal. Amazing for hair, use on split ends.

Jojoba oil: Has high levels of vitamin E and heals dry and chapped skin.

Tip:
Also use the sugar body buff on legs before shaving for a closer shave. Leaves legs soft, smooth and shiny. It’s also absolutely amazing on your feet after a long day at work.

Hair Care Magic

So I've been using Pureology volume system from about a month now and my hair has never been so soft and full. If you haven't heard of the salon brand Pureology it’s a fantastic 100% vegan hair care company. The only reason I started using this brand is because I have long colour treated hair and I wanted a product to protect from fading and damage from the elements. When I went to my hairdresser and told her want I was looking for and her knowing that I'm a vegetarian she gave me two free bottles of Pureology.  And let me just say It only took one wash and I was hooked.

WHY Pureology

AntiFadeComplex: contains a blend of potent antioxidants and full spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreens to protect colour from free radicals.

ZeroSulfate: A system that is free from any sulfates witch is known to fade colour. The Pureology shampoos include a mild cleansing system, with no added salt, derived from coconut, corn, and sugar to deliver a rich lather and help optimize colour retention.

100% vegan: Pureology combines the best of nature with advanced technology to ensure pure performance and radiant colour, and our products are made without animal products or by-products.

Crimson Lips

The sexiest trend this season is the crimson mouth. On the fall runway red lips were shown in several shows such as Donna Karen, Yves Saint Laurent and Dior and with all of them choosing a punchier lip colour. I love a good red lipstick but I find it hard and sometimes to severe on my fair skin. I find on my skin tone and my blonde hair that a red lipstick with either a yellow or orange undertone looks best. Someone with medium skin and dark hair looks better in ared with a blue undertone and last but not least if you have fair skin and dark hair the world is your oyster you can choose any red.

Over the years I have found out the a red lip is all about balance so pair it up witha soft smoky eye and instead of using black go for a brown or gold. It will soften the look and give you a more ethereal look.
Tips and tricks

 - Use a lip scrub and moisturizer before applying. This will keep your lips from drying out and make it easier to apply colour. THe
- A great trick to keeping your lipstick from bleeding is to outline them lightly in foundation. It keeps the colour in place.

- For the illusion of fuller lips use a lip pencil. Note: NEVER use a pencil the is darker than your lipstick

- Always apply a gloss it helps it last.

The winner of the CrushCosmetic Give away will be posted tomorrow.
